Nancy Thurman, MD is dedicated to providing highly-personalized guidance to help you reach your personal health goals using effective evidence-based lifestyle medicine methods. Dr. Thurman has extensive experience and training in lifestyle medicine, medical acupuncture, integrative medicine, and mind-body medicine. She graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School with a focus on internal medicine, became board certified in anesthesiology in 2004, and certified in medical acupuncture in 2010 and lifestyle medicine in 2017. She received her masters in metaphysical sciences in 2023 and has owned multiple clinics focusing on holistic wellness.
After years of being an anesthesiologist, she saw a common denominator of disease: the patient's lifestyle choices drive a patient's inflammation, energy, and outlook. She passionately began to focus on the power patients do not even know they have inside of their selves. She has taught thousands of patients to see how true health comes from the mind first with emphasizing that the body is only a reflection to the state of mindset. She believes in the highest potential of health and believes in empowering the patient instead of focusing on cutting out or covering up symptoms of a disease.
